Belgium’s largest ever traditional Irish music and cultural festival ‘Tradfest 2016’ is taking place in Brussels as well as some other towns throughout the country.
It will run for 6 days – from 7-12 June, with 70 performers, 40 events, and 20 venues.
Highlights include performances from Kila, Liam O Maonlai ( of Hothouse Flowers), Perfect Friction, Brú Ború, and the world famous Cór Cúil Aodha. Also there will be Irish dancing, language classes, book launches as well as films and talks about Irish history and culture. His Excellency Irish Ambassador to Belgium Mr Éamonn Mac Aodha spoke to Owen Stafford about the largest ‘Tradfest’ yet to be celebrated in Belgium.
