Mons 2015 – Verlaine: Cell 252 – Poetic Turbulence

The BAM (Beaux Arts Mons) is presenting two major exhibitions this Autumn. The second one is centered on French poet Verlaine’s two years in prison in Mons but covers much more with original documents and iconic objects such as the gun he used to shoot Arthur Rimbaud in Brussels and cell doors from the Mons Prison. Richard Harris brings us the introduction to the show by curator Bernard Bousmanne.
